Event Scale and Format

The show occupied over 15,000 square meters across six halls, including enterprise pavilions, a monster supermarket special exhibition, and dedicated zones for independent designers and artists. Display categories spanned GK statues, SOFUBI soft vinyl toys, art toys, figures, action figures, building blocks, handmade crafts, illustration, and graphic art.

Notably, the show attracted AI industry brands, integrating original art and design with technology in diverse presentations. This cross-pollination of traditional craftsmanship and emerging technology reflects the industry’s evolution.

Cultural Integration

A standout feature was the integration of intangible cultural heritage with designer toy aesthetics. China Handicraft Network presented digital cultural cards, handmade crafts, and innovative products exploring how traditional techniques can merge with contemporary design.

Heritage craftsmen demonstrated Miao embroidery, cloth tigers, filigree inlay, traditional incense making, and inner painting — showing how traditional skills can find new expression through designer toy formats. This fusion points to a uniquely Chinese approach to art toy development.

Industry Implications

The show’s scale reflects the growing maturity of China’s designer toy industry. With over 300 domestic and international designers, prototype makers, and brands participating, ATS Beijing has positioned itself as a major platform alongside established shows like POP TOY SHOW Singapore and DesignerCon Pasadena.

For brands like BaiChaoHui, events like ATS Beijing represent critical opportunities to showcase Zombie Party characters and connect with the collector community. The Chinese market remains a powerhouse for designer toy growth, and domestic brands are increasingly competing on quality and originality with international names.

Copyright and IP Protection

The show leveraged China’s copyright chain service platform, providing IP registration, monitoring, rights protection, and licensing services for exhibitors. This infrastructure is crucial for protecting original character designs in a market where counterfeit production remains a significant challenge.

The success of ATS Beijing 2026 signals that the Asian designer toy market continues to deepen, with events serving as catalysts for industry connections, consumer education, and cultural exchange.
